Ancient City Stays began with a simple idea: give families one exceptional place to call their own in St. Augustine, the nation's oldest city. We're David and Claudia, Airbnb Superhosts who pour everything we've learned into a single home rather than spreading ourselves thin across many. That home is The Salty Anchor, a charming coastal retreat just an eight-minute walk from Vilano Beach and minutes from St. Augustine's historic district, beaches, and waterfront dining. Every detail, from the fully stocked kitchen to the fenced backyard, fire pit, and included paddleboards and bikes, is designed so your whole family can settle in and feel at home from the moment you arrive.

Because we focus on one property, we can host the way we'd want to be hosted: thoughtfully, personally, and with the little things that make a trip easier. Traveling with kids? You'll find a crib, high chair, beach toys, and child safety vests already waiting. Bringing the boat? The Salty Anchor offers free parking for up to five vehicles, room for a boat or RV up to 55 feet, and a boat ramp just steps away on the Intracoastal Waterway. Whether you're casting off at sunrise, walking to the beach in the afternoon, or gathering around the grill at night, our goal is the same: a comfortable, memorable coastal stay you'll want to come back to year after year.
